Wow so I'm finally back on the Internet. No DSL for two weeks. Aack. I wish I would have thought about calling my ISP earlier on. Now I'm back to dial-up.
Well I spent most of the day at the house today, cooked our first meal here, probably one of the few things I am able to cook decently, fettucine alfredo. Over the last month, since we had to stay at my parents' house and my mother is a cooking fiend (she's had 40 years to practice) - I've realized how sadly inadequate my cooking is. It's really too bad I'm not more talented at this. Oh well. I guess my strong points lie elsewhere. It would be so cool to be able to whip stuff up just perfect all the time, you know? But I guess that people who are good at cooking may actually be people who ENJOY cooking often and work on perfecting things and such. Me, ninety percent of the time when I try to make a new recipe, it takes me forever to make it, and then when it's finally done, I'll take one bite out of it and be like, okay, that's enough!! Very disappointing!

Hooray! Last night Martin and I spent our first evening at our house. It was quite odd, really. I spent some time just sitting in the kitchen and realizing that I was sitting in the house, it was dark outside, and I didn't even need a flashlight. The electricity people came yesterday afternoon and hooked us up! Well that was one silly thing, but seriously, I've had to battle so much to live in this house, it's hard to believe that everything's done, you know? I didn't sleep very well there last night somehow, although it was nice to see my own bed again. I've been so busy today I've hardly even been at the house.
Anyway, just wanted to let any of you who look at this that I'm home! Come visit!
