I have had two paint disasters in two days. Both of my painting the bathroom ideas have totally sucked. Yesterdays idea became an apparent failure halfway through the job. I just kept looking at the walls going, hmm, not so sure about that anymore. I've really been questioning myself the last couple of days in regards to this. How could I have made such consistently bad paint choices?? As soon as the air-conditioning people leave (A/C was acting funny) I'm going to go to the paint store to try to come up with an intelligent solution to my painting dilema. After this is over, I imagine I won't paint again in a long time. Monday, March 10, 2003
Not too much has been happening over here aside from getting things done at the house and such, so I haven't really had much of interest to write. Today and yesterday I've been painting my bathroom. My bathroom has way too many white walls and I am determined to make all of that wall space look interesting so that's what I've been up to today. And yesterday for that matter. Except that what my idea was yesterday was a complete disaster which had to be painted over today. So there ya have it. My life is as exciting as watching the paint dry. hahaha. Anyway, some of you might find somewhat amusing that the neighbors next door have decided to turn their small front lawn into a used car sales lot. Thank God for the Code Enforcement people who told them no. Perfectly new house, perfectly new beautiful green grass and cars parked all over it. In the backyard too. They haven't even given the new grass a chance to live. I don't know if many people know this, but I really like grass. To clarify, the grass that is used as a ground cover. Not talking about the other grass!! Something that I really appreciated was on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Horatio Sanz did a really cute tribute to Mr. Rogers as the last thing before the show was over. He dressed up like Mr. Rogers with the sweater and everything and sang the ''You are my friend, you are special'' song. Did any of you see that? I thought it was so moving. It really made me think back to when I was a kid and religiously watched Mr. Rogers and how I always used to get such a warm fuzzy feeling while watching that program. He was indeed a special man. |
