This weekend has been nice. Friday night I attended a lovely party for a friend from my French class. Being entirely too smart, she was dual enrolled as a high school senior and college freshman all at the same time and we met at the college. We became friends after a while and she invited Martin and I to attend her Graduation party at her home Friday night. It was really great. My wacky French teacher was there and it was fun to introduce him to Martin and more interestingly even, to meet his wife. We had a nice talk with him. Even though he was somewhat strange, it was all in all a good experience in his class, if not an entertaining one. We met some interesting people there including an Englishman who lived in Germany, even in Martin's home town for over 20 years, spoke German as if he were German. That was fun for Martin especially. It turns out that while touring in Europe he managed such rock stars as Sting, Elton John, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, all sorts of huge stars. Now he runs a translating service, got burned out. Anyway, that was a fun night.

Saturday I hung out a bit with my mother, went to the nursing home to visit my aunt long enough to yell at her for being rude to the CNA. My father thought that if she's being rude to people, she must be feeling really good. Such an odd thing to say, but I think he's absolutely right. On the bad side of this, my mother said today that I'm turning into her. Apparently we both had the same reaction to my aunt's rudeness but she decided to let me have a go at it and as she put it, ''let me do my thing.'' How odd.

Today, Mother's Day (I wish a happy one to all that it applies to) I called family mother-people and got up to date with how everyone is doing and then in the afternoon we had dinner over at my Mom's. That was nice as well. So after my dose of the Sopranos I went outside to do the very grown up thing of watering my plants outside and such. We got a new addition today, a cute little banana tree. I don't especially enjoy gardening, but I do enjoy the results.

Since my classes are over tomorrow, I have basically nothing on my schedule except for a one hour piano lesson in the late afternoon. I have plenty to do though. Music to learn. House to clean. Eek.

Alright that's it. Just an update on my life.
